ELEGANT DESIGN MEETS EFFORTLESS ENTERTAINING

These busy clients who owned a restaurant in Mosman had a rare weekend off in the Hunter Valley and fell in love with the Vintage. After many more return visits they purchased a block of land and, having been through the Yarrum Designer Homes display home in the Vintage and spending time chatting with the sales consultant, they commenced the design process with Yarrum. They wanted to capture elements of the display home in their home, but the design of the home had to suit the weekend rental market plus their own use. Young, hip and happy they love to entertain and love a good party.

Key features

• The meals and family room have raked ceilings with a pitch of 4.8 metres which add to the grandeur of the home and look out over the golf course. The ceiling height also allowed Yarrums in house Interior Designer to source an amazing feature pendant.
•  A fireplace adds to the cosiness of the living area
• A central undercover alfresco leading off from the living spaces with outdoor heaters and fans catering for all seasons. Motorised blinds keep the insects at bay and customised joinery with a bespoke tiled splashback, a sink, under bench fridges ensure everything is at hand when entertaining
• Large stacker doors bring the outside in and make for one very large entertaining space
• A striking Blackbutt timber screen defines the family/meals room but also allows the morning light from the highlight windows to filter through
• The kitchen is fitted out with a suite of Frank appliances and a separate butler’s pantry and bar area cater for all manner of functions.
• An internal cool room is tucked behind the kitchen (being in the restaurant industry a standard fridge did not quite cut it for them)
• All 4 large bedrooms have ensuites and walk in robes
• Consistent elements throughout the home allowed the client to express their eclectic style with furnishings and artwork
