This three bedroom home, complete with a study and media room, epitomises a seamless blend of practicality and aesthetic appeal. As it enters the Housing Industry Association Awards for Custom Designed Home, this dwelling showcases meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

The facade of this residence is a harmonious blend of textures and materials, a visual delight. A skillion roofline, Enseam cladding, recycled spotted gum timbers, render, and dry stacked Ledgestone create a visually appealing façade and combine as a  seamless blend of natural elements and contemporary flair.

At the threshold, a custom-made oversized pivot front door, vertically clad in cedar with a recessed channel and handle powder-coated in Monument, welcomes guests with understated elegance. The porch and alfresco ceilings, lined in rich blackbutt timber, add a touch of warmth and sophistication to the exterior, setting the tone for the opulence that lies inside.

Stepping beyond the threshold unveils a world of exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Natural light floods the space providing an ideal backdrop for displaying the owner's Australian art collection. The interior colour palette for the home is deliberately neutral allowing the art to shine. 

A curved feature wall, adorned with floor-to-ceiling blackbutt timber battens, creates a striking focal point, drawing the eye towards the living areas along the wide hallway and beyond, to the panoramic view of the Vintage Golf Course - a picturesque backdrop that adds depth and character to every space. The use of natural timber creates continuity between external and internal materials. 

The living spaces are designed for comfort and elegance, with a fireplace creating a cosy ambiance. The dry stacked Ledgestone surrounding the fireplace again ties the façade of the house to the inside. 

Soaring ceiling heights provide ample room for displaying large pieces of art on the walls. Expansive windows not only allow volumes of light in but seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living, connecting the home to nature.

The kitchen, a true masterpiece, is a chef's dream, equipped with a full suite of high-end appliances and complemented by a spacious butler's pantry that integrates functionality with style. This was achieved by the selection of Caesarstone Pietra Grey benchtops, 2 pack painted cabinetry in Dulux Whisper White both complemented by a splashback in Caesarstone Whitenna Porcelain. Glass fronted overhead cupboards display the client’s ceramic collection, while an integrated fridge and concealed TV mean these items do not distract from the calm feel in the open plan space.

An outdoor alfresco, adjacent to the living area and the pool, offers a perfect setting for outdoor gatherings, complete with custom joinery housing a barbecue and drinks station, heating, and ceiling fans—an oasis where luxury meets convenience.

The selections for the wet areas follow the neutral palette used throughout the home but are far from boring with unique elements used to add interest. These include a black “leather look” tile in the bathroom to create a dramatic focal point, as well as a curved wall of stone mosaics in the powder room. Storage and style abound in the laundry with over 6 metres of custom joinery and good natural light.

Throughout this home, exquisite detailing can be found in the joinery, from custom window seats overlooking the sculpture garden, the curved feature wall, the wall of cabinetry in the study and the Master Walk in Wardrobe. Much thought has gone into every fixture and finish. No expense has been spared in ensuring that every aspect of this residence exudes unparalleled quality and timeless elegance. Much consideration was given to the lighting plan, particularly with regard to displaying the owners art.
